In the United States, we are volunteering our time to provide free dance education while building the next generation of arts leaders and activists
Today, Movement Exchange addresses the evolving need for culturally inclusive dance education nationwide. We provide university and high school students with opportunities to learn diverse dance styles through global exchanges and local volunteering, empowering them to share their knowledge and learn from professionals across varied backgrounds. By partnering with local dance companies, nonprofits, and youth organizations, we strengthen community bonds and enhance self-worth among students. Our approach promotes leadership development, civic engagement, and experiential learning through dance education, ensuring that Movement Exchange continues to empower the next generation of dance educators and advocates, fostering inclusive and impactful dance education across diverse communities.

PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
Deepen Your Learning
Every year Movement Exchange hosts a series of professional development opportunities for our university chapters so that they can go deeper into their exploration of dance pedagogy, indigenous and cultural dance forms, civic engagement, leadership development, and more. From guest workshops to semester webinars, to our annual leadership conference, we want to ensure our university students are getting the tools they need to succeed while building a strong community of like minded dancers.
