In the United States, we are volunteering our time to provide free dance education while building the next generation of arts leaders and activists

We have a network of university chapters throughout the United States who provide free dance education for youth in their local communities, host meetings and socials for their on campus community, host workshops and fundraisers, and participate in cultural exchange. We also offer a range of professional development opportunities for our chapters each year focused on dance education, leadership, and civic engagement.

Move To Change Day is Movement Exchange's annual day of dance and service! All our university chapters and partners participate in this event as well as outside companies and organizations that want to give back to their communities through dance. Join us!

Deepen Your Learning

Every year Movement Exchange hosts a series of professional development opportunities for our university chapters so that they can go deeper into their exploration of dance pedagogy, civic engagement, leadership development, and more. From guest workshops to semester webinars, to our annual leadership conference, we want to ensure our university students are getting the tools they need to succeed while building a strong community of like minded dancers.

Experience the Arts

Being a Move-Ex chapter member means attending our Annual Leadership Retreat where we gather as a whole community one of our university's campus and host workshops in dance pedagogy, leadership development, fundraising, and plan for the next school year. We also bring in guest speakers to present.

Leadership Retreat

We host a series of workshops each year for our chapters and community at large with guest artists that focus around dance classes, book clubs, leadership training, pedagogy, service stories, fundraising, and more. Join us for the next one!

Virtual Workshops

All of our chapter members are committed to providing free and accessible dance experiences both locally and internationally. They use dance as the tool to connect and build community with those around them, thus creating positive social change.
